SUPER BOWL LXI WEEK · LOS ANGELES
Super Bowl Breakfast 2027 and the Bart Starr Award
The Super Bowl Breakfast is Athletes in Action’s NFL-sanctioned Super Bowl week breakfast, where the Bart Starr Award is presented. As of October 13, 2026, the organizer’s site lists it for Saturday, February 13, 2027, at the JW Marriott L.A. Live in Los Angeles; the 2027 award winner hasn’t been named.
A breakfast ticket is not a game ticket: it admits one guest to the Saturday breakfast, and Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium the next day needs a separate game ticket.

What is the Super Bowl Breakfast?
The Super Bowl Breakfast is an NFL-sanctioned breakfast held during Super Bowl week by Athletes in Action, where the Bart Starr Award has been presented since 1989. It started in 1988, and the organizer says it has been held in the Super Bowl host city every year since. The NFL’s Super Bowl LX lineup called it “a signature Super Bowl week event.”
Athletes in Action has worked with athletes since 1966 and says it is committed to helping young men and women “grow in their character and in their faith.” Its About page puts average attendance at 1,500–2,000. It says the breakfast features past and current NFL players, coaches and team owners, and that guests can meet top-level business executives from the host city and around the country.
Two other long-running Super Bowl week traditions have their own guides: Taste of the NFL, which began in 1992, and the Super Bowl Soulful Celebration, which began in 1999.
When and where is the 2027 Super Bowl Breakfast?
The 2027 Super Bowl Breakfast is on Saturday, February 13, 2027, from 8 to 10 a.m. Pacific, the morning before Super Bowl LXI. The organizer’s ticket page gives the venue as the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, 900 West Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90015. It is a hotel event in Los Angeles, not at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, where the game is played.
The breakfast has used this hotel before. When Los Angeles hosted Super Bowl LVI, it was held at the JW Marriott LA Live on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, from 8 to 10 a.m. PT, and Russell Wilson received the Bart Starr Award. Hall of Famer Anthony Muñoz, listed again for 2027, was among the speakers announced for that year.
How much are Super Bowl Breakfast tickets?
Tickets are $250 per person, or $2,500 for a reserved table of 10, as listed on October 13, 2026, on the organizer’s ticket page. You reach that page through the Purchase Tickets button on superbowlbreakfast.com, even though the home page still says to stay tuned for 2027 information. The ticket page says all ticket sales are non-refundable.
The breakfast has sold out before. Fox Business reported on February 3, 2026, that tickets for that year’s breakfast in San Francisco were sold out and that fans could register for a livestream instead. Athletes in Action hasn’t announced streaming plans for 2027. For the 2022 breakfast in Los Angeles, it said portions would be available on its Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Who is speaking at the 2027 Super Bowl Breakfast?
The organizer’s site lists CBS sportscaster James Brown as emcee, along with Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy, Hall of Fame offensive tackle Anthony Muñoz and co-host Kim (Hamilton) Anthony, a UCLA Hall of Fame gymnast. It says more NFL players and special guests will be announced “in the months ahead,” so the lineup was not final on October 13, 2026.
For comparison, 49ers.com reported that the 2026 emcee in San Francisco would be Brent Jones, a 49ers Hall of Fame tight end and a past Bart Starr Award winner.
What is the Bart Starr Award?
The Bart Starr Award honors the NFL player who best exemplifies outstanding character and leadership, according to Athletes in Action, which presents it at the Super Bowl Breakfast. The organizer’s winners page says nominees are gathered from sources including each NFL team’s public relations director, and the top 10 are voted on by a group of past winners and Athletes in Action leadership. Steve Largent received the first award in 1989.
The 2027 winner had not been named as of October 13, 2026. In each of the last three years, team websites reported the winner in January: Minkah Fitzpatrick on January 5, 2024, Cameron Jordan on January 9, 2025, and Christian McCaffrey on January 16, 2026. That is a past pattern, not a 2027 announcement date.
Earlier names on the organizer’s list include Demario Davis (2021), Eli Manning (2020), Calais Campbell (2019), Benjamin Watson (2018), Matthew Slater (2017), Thomas Davis (2016) and Peyton Manning (2015). The table below adds dates and venues for recent breakfasts.
Super Bowl Breakfast past editions and Bart Starr winners
The breakfast moves with the Super Bowl each year. These are the recent editions we could confirm from team, press and organizer sources.
| Year | Super Bowl week | Date and time | Venue | Bart Starr Award |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | LX | Sat., Feb. 7, 2026, 8–10 a.m. PT | Marriott Marquis, San Francisco | Christian McCaffrey |
| 2025 | LIX | Sat., Feb. 8, 2025, 8–10 a.m. CT | Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans | Cameron Jordan |
| 2024 | LVIII | Sat., Feb. 10, 2024 | Not confirmed (Las Vegas) | Minkah Fitzpatrick |
| 2023 | LVII | Sat., Feb. 11, 2023, 8–10 a.m. | JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa, Phoenix | Kirk Cousins |
| 2022 | LVI | Sat., Feb. 12, 2022, 8–10 a.m. PT | JW Marriott LA Live, Los Angeles | Russell Wilson |
“Not confirmed” means our source named the city but not the venue. Sources number the editions inconsistently, so we leave edition numbers out. Winners are from the organizer’s winners page; dates and venues are from K-Love (2022), PhoenixChamber.com (2023), Steelers.com (2024), NewOrleansSaints.com (2025) and 49ers.com (2026).
