What is the Celebrity Flag Football Challenge?
It’s a yearly flag football game between celebrity teams, produced by Celebrity Sweat during Super Bowl week. Bay City News called the February 2026 game in Berkeley the 26th held during Super Bowl week. Celebrity Sweat’s site names it and Celebrity Slam Jam, held in early April, as the brand’s two biggest events.
Celebrity Sweat says its events aim to make an impact for military members, veterans and first responders. In 2026, first responders, military service members and veterans from across Northern California were invited guests, Bear Insider reported. Visit Berkeley’s release listed a roster of football stars, musicians, an actress, UFC fighters and content creators.
When and where is the 2027 Celebrity Flag Football Challenge?
Neither has been announced. As of October 13, 2026, Celebrity Sweat’s site gave no 2027 date, city or venue, and we found no announcement of a game during Super Bowl LXI week in Los Angeles.
Timing has varied. The game was played on a Saturday in 2020, 2022 and 2023, and on a Thursday night in 2024 and 2026. The 2025 game in New Orleans ran from 7 to 9 p.m. on February 6. For the 2024 game, KTNV reported the date and venue on November 22, 2023. These are past patterns, not a forecast.
What happened when the game was last in Los Angeles?
The last edition played during a Los Angeles Super Bowl week was the 22nd annual game on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 1 p.m. Pepperdine University hosted it on the Tari Frahm Rokus Soccer Field in Malibu, and its announcement said the game was “Presented by the NFL Host Committee and Todos Medical.”
Pepperdine listed Tory Lanez, Diplo, Michael Irvin, Wale and Tracy McGrady among the celebrity players. It said the game would air on Bally Sports West from 1 to 3 p.m., and admission was free for the first 400 Pepperdine students with their university ID.
How much did Celebrity Flag Football Challenge tickets cost?
Prices for 2027 have not been announced. The starting prices we found were $40 in 2020, $25 in 2024 and $32 in 2026. Bay City News said 2026 tickets started at $32 through Cal Athletics’ ticketing site, while Visit Berkeley said $32 was the price with its 20% discount code.
Some fans paid less or nothing. In 2026, Celebrity Sweat funded a 20% discount code for military service members, veterans and first responders, and NBC Bay Area reported that first responders and military veterans got in free. At the 2020 game in Miami, a VIP ticket was $85 and a meet and greet $200.
Is the Celebrity Flag Football Challenge an NFL event?
No. Celebrity Sweat produces it, and the 2026 announcements named Celebrity Sweat, not the NFL, as the brand behind the game. The only NFL tie we found is the 2022 presenting credit for the NFL Host Committee.
Don’t mix it up with the NFL’s own flag games. The NFL’s Super Bowl LX Flag Football Game on YouTube was a separate event on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Moscone Center South, and it streamed only on YouTube. For LXI week, the NFL and TMRW Sports have announced a new Pro Flag Showcase in Los Angeles; our Pro Bowl and flag football guide follows it.
The NFL’s fan events for Super Bowl week are covered in our Super Bowl Experience guide.
Where has the Celebrity Flag Football Challenge been played?
The game moves to a new host each year. These are the six editions from 2020 to 2026 we could confirm, each held during that year’s Super Bowl week or weekend.

|---|---|---|---|---|

Celebrity Sweat ties it to military members, veterans and first responders. Cronkite News reported that the 2023 game benefited groups including the Pat Tillman Foundation, the USO and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Is this the same as the NFL’s flag football game on YouTube?

Who organizes the Celebrity Flag Football Challenge?
Celebrity Sweat organizes it, and GCU News identified Lisa Levine as the company’s CEO in 2023. A local host provides the venue each year, such as UC Berkeley in 2026.
